Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan left a Mobmai' Lilavati hospital on Tuesday, less than a week after he suffered knife injuries in a scuffle with an intruder at his house, local media reported. Khan was discharged from hospital on Tuesday afternoon. He smiled at TV cameras from his car and waved his bandaged hand.

Khan, 54, was "out of danger" following emergency surgery, said the doctors at the Lilavati Hospital where he was rushed after the attack that took place around 2.30 am .

Saif Ali Khan's domestic help first raised an alarm as the intruder gained entry into the apartment. She also sustained a minor injury to her hand during the scuffle. 

A fight between Khan and the intruder ensued as the former came out after hearing the woman's cries for help.

Suspects are arrested by Indian Police and case is under investigation.
