42nd session of Universal Periodic Review was recorded by the Office of United Nation High Commission for assurance of global Human Rights
On 30 Jan 2023, participation of Pakistan's delegation was encouraged. Delegation of Pakistan attended session presenting law and order situation and legislative progress by the government and National Commission of Human Rights to establish human rights laws in country specially for women and children rights, minority rights, transgender rights and workplace harassment.
Spokespersons of countries presented their recommendations to maintain human rights policies specifically gender-based discrimination, minority rights. Freedom and safety of journalists must be ensured.
Violation against women, girls and children was highly pointed issues. Child marriages, forced conversion were discouraged. Issues related to equal rights of minorities in all platform of life were raised to be taken measurements.
Death penalty and false accusations for blasphemy law was discouraged as it is against human rights.
